What is... A THEMATIC-BASED APPROACH?
Consider the thematic-based approach in any learning environment.
Music and Art are enriched by each program’s artistic methodology. Language Arts are strengthened by related vocabulary and terminology. Mathematical knowledge is increased by problem-solving. Scientific inquiry is expanded by appropriate experiments and observations. Social studies are made more relevant by the heightened awareness the specific issues in current events and history have played in direct relation to individuals within their community. Physical Education is accentuated by physical skills required for behavioral performance.
Curricular focus is further extended by the direct association of each multiple intelligence to each behavior examined and demonstrated by the program. This direct association enables a diverse selection of appropriate activities.
Firefighter Steve and The Bucket Brigade offers an assortment
of approaches for presenting this important material.
And because of this variety for presentation this program
never gets old. The messages can be presented in a different
style each time.
