What is... A THEMATIC-BASED APPROACH?
Firefighter Steve and The Bucket Brigade employs several proven
learning methods into it's design and concept. First and foremost the program is best described as a thematic-based approach built upon the integration of multiple intelligences, individual learning styles and curricular focus. The central themes of both programs are prevention and awareness of associated behaviors. This approach ensures thorough knowledge of the necessary precautions, preventative and procedural actions associated with the behavioral topics presented.
Thematic-based, as used in these programs, is defined as the integration of a central theme into every aspect of the program. In the case of Firefighter Steve and The Bucket Brigade the theme of fire safety is woven into all of the art, music, activities and multiple intelligence approaches.
